    What’s coming?The events on the schedule, where the road gets rough, and the conditions around the trade. Knowing the schedule is not knowing the direction.

    What was the market already expecting?The market doesn’t react in isolation. What gets released is measured against what traders were already expecting.
  3. 3
    What could go wrong before the trade has a chance to play out?Already priced in, execution, overlapping exposure. The idea wasn’t wrong. The path still matters.
  4. 4
    How much money is actually at risk?Know what the trade costs if you’re wrong: account size, the % you’re willing to risk and the distance to your stop set the size before entry.
  5. 5
    What would change my mind?Know your reassessment point before you need it. Not a guarantee, but it is new information.
