Every sentence on this site has to pass it. If a reader cannot follow what a paragraph means, the paragraph is wrong, no matter how correct it is.
Currency News Source publishes a brief before the session opens. Three minutes, plain English, built out of numbers that were actually measured. It covers forex, crypto, oil and gold, and it is written for people who trade their own money and want to understand what they are doing, rather than be impressed by somebody who does.
On paper, that is a man who should be writing for other people with degrees.
He does not. He also works in real estate development and construction management, and his week runs from trade rooms during the London session to construction sites in the Nevada desert. Some weeks, the same day.
That is not a charming detail. It is the reason this site reads the way it does.
When you spend the morning inside central bank language and the afternoon around people whose fuel costs and loan rates are set by it, you stop tolerating writing that explains nothing. The jargon stops looking like professional shorthand and starts looking like what it actually is: a wall. On one side, the people who already know. On the other, everybody whose money is on the line.
So the wall comes down here. Every term is explained the first time it appears. Every number is measured, or it does not get printed. Nobody gets told what to buy.
Kanin writes Kanin's Corner in every issue, in his own voice. He wrote the six Forex Foundations lessons on this site, about twenty thousand words, free to read, assuming nothing. He wrote the fixed explainers in the Investing section. And he set the rules that everything else here is written under. He is married and the father of six.
People who trade forex, crypto, oil or gold with their own money. Mostly with something already built, and done being talked down to.
You do not need a finance background to read this site. You need three minutes and a reason to care, and the reason is usually that it is your money.
The six lessons are free and assume nothing. The Pro sample is a complete published issue, so you can see exactly what arrives before the open.
